I get total vampire romance from this song and no, not fucking Twatlight. Lemme explain. "Sleeping death will come and lead me out of the sunlight." Vampires are dead, right? If death comes to lead you from sunlight, it kinda sounds like turning a human. "I'd give it all away to be with you." Innocuous on its own, but with the context of the song, can't have your human ties as a vampire and can't be a vampire with human ties. "Forsake the light, all I see is you." Now that can be taken any of many ways, but again, sunlight. Fill in the blanks. So this is my opinion and partial dissection of the song. I could be spot on or way off base. Won't know until someone asks the band, eh? |
