I believe there is more to this song than ben scribbling stuff down when he's high though anything ben writes high is better than hip hop crap. This song is a story of loss maybe even referring to his ex wife Frally Hynes thus the line when I go to sleep youll be waking up, as ben is american and Frally is Australian. The bit with the astronaut refers to the hatred and bitterness that they saved from leaving each other and how they might talk about how terrible things are between them. The countdown also means a lot as it shows his slow drawn out pain of letting her go after starting a family and settling down together
