Prophets, God's inspired human messengers, the message abandoned to disrepair. Instruments of death are displayed and honored in midday. Everyman so fractured in their souls in their sleep which should be rest Day becomes a silent endurance in which to maintain and survive In silence and... WILL NO ONE SHOW THE WAY TO WIN? From birth to death our hours Are planted and watered (planned and directed) by those Who know people and are known by people, the power crowd Yet when there are no rules, What and who one knows motivates and creates a cruel and vicious venue All the world is guided by the powerful and cruel and wicked. Exiting by that second iron gate The 20th Century Schizoid Man forsees confusion, gained the mixture of good and evil of his experience, to crawl (having remained a babe) a dry and rough byway... But if we make it, where? through to another place? A place where laughter is possible? But the way ahead is seen as a place of weeping For the 20th Century Schizoid man. (Today, already turning 15, are the the 21st Century boys and girls savoring anything new? We need to repair the walls of the Prophets, and seek the One who spoke through them.) |
