I feel that this song is about a friendship that went sour. The first para shows the start of the friendship, when they were young. They were close friends. The friend said that he will always have his back. And these "little things" are what made the friendship stronger. The chorus suggests that there had been a falling out. A fight of some sort. The singer is asking the friend to move past the fight and hopes to salvage the friendship. The song goes on to show us that their fight has gotten to a point where their friendship is in the verge of vanishing, and they will have to go their separate ways. The singer is asking his friend to forget about the 'bad blood' between them. |
