System has always been fueled by spiritualism, good and evil, God and the Devil, the fall from grace, politics, current world issues, global controls,war and much much more. They are also huge on spoken word imaging and word association (I.E. Icicle stretching, bicycle shoestrings). For example what do you see in your mind's eye when a reading a certain line? For me I've been listening to this song for over a decade. I try to give a breakdown of each line when I can. Here's my interpretation of the lyrics which I think about 98% or so accurate. Overall it's safe to say that each line represents a picture of topics that Serj and Daron has in their minds. Flaunt your will at every will | Basically means what it says. Showing your will/intentions any chance you can. Parachute your chocolate soul | Parachute is a term for swallowing drugs. Swallow your edible chococalte soul. Cobblestones under your wheels | It's a rough ass ride. I've got pictures on my mind x 4 | What I alluded to in the intro. Basically the thoughts and subjects on their minds Ba ba ba ba Circumvent your thick ego | Go around your thick ego. A reference to people's self centeredness Wood and vice they're on the go | Vice is an immoral or evil practice. Saying it's all around or common. You can't tell me that I'm real | Hard to say on this one. I've got pictures on my mind x 4 Ba ba ba ba Fear waits (fear waits) | doom is coming, For us (for us) When the present can be sealed | When current time is stopped, or as mankind's end Away (away) | Away from our beginnings. Dust from what we were created from From dust (cold dust) | So from our beginnings in dust to the end of mankind and a cold earth Now the days just can't be clear | Uncertainty about it all Fear waits (both) For us (for us) Till the moment is revealed (revealed) | The the truth comes out Then turns (then turns) | A chapter in existence.
