Contrary to many comments on here I see this song as someone actually falling in love, not committing suicide trying to get over a broken heart. I feel either this person regretting that his love to someone else went cold and is trying to get it back to life again OR like this is a person depressed, maybe a bit bored with life and paralysed by not experiencing love for a long time, longing for the 'kick' love can give to 'shock' him awake again. The line "It's only falling in love because you hit the ground" added up with the end of the song suggests that he actually falls in love again at the end, which to me also would match the guitars which are exhilerating towards the end. |
