Dillon – Thirteen Thirtyfive Lyrics 10 years ago
@[IFlip92:4489] It's strange how you posted this comment at the time I was about to begin a relationship with a boy this song reminds me of. A day after you posted this comment, I went to his city to go out with him but cancelled our date because each of us had important exams for our career. And that's how it ended before it even began :)

Zero 7 – Speed Dial No. 2 Lyrics 11 years ago
The way it is sung gives me chills. I think it is about a guy and a girl who used to talk a lot and flirt a bit. They go out as friends and she falls in love with him. She knows that they do not have a single chance together and tries to get over him, but at the same time she hopes he will give her a sign (a sign that is never going to come).

I personally see it in another way.

I think it's about a girl trying to accept a new lover after being heartbroken. Therefore she's afraid of a new relationship ("A den or a dessert/Perhaps an ink squirt/A cellar, a wishing well, a war/Or a guarantee will do for me"), but at the same time she tries to find a place in her heart for him ("For you I found a cell/On the top floor of a prison/Just enough space for you to fit your feet in/If you go/Do let me know").

Indeed. Or about two people who tried to run away from each other and ended up bumping into each other. I simply adore her songs.

Coeur de Pirate – Ensemble Lyrics 12 years ago
I really love this song- it seems so joyful, but in fact it's quite sad. I think it's about a boy and a girl who belong together, but in fact they play games. He is a selfish man, who appears to have changed and she's aware of this. However, they're attracted to each other and together are a chaotic rhyme.

Coeur de Pirate – La Petite Mort Lyrics 12 years ago
I remember that Coeur de Pirate said that the song was about losing someone dear. Well, I see it differently.

I think it's about a girl who loved a guy, but he (apparently) didn't love her back. She tried to move on, but the memories were still there.

Je crois qu’il est trop tard
Pour t’avouer que j’ai mal
À mon coeur mourant
Et mes souvenirs tachés de blanc

She found someone else, but was still aware that he was the love of her life. And what is worse, he suffers. They both suffer: she, because she's not with the love of her life, and he, because he lost her forever.

Si l’on me perd, sache que je serai la tienne
Et au creux de ses bras, la mort nous bercera
Car si l’on me perd,
c’est seulement pour rester la tienne
Et au creux de ses bras, la mort nous bercera.

Apparently being happy and satisfied with their life, they both die a bit.
