One of my favourite songs. Ever since I heard this song, the colour blue has become a symbol of freedom for me. In my perception, this song represents how much Spike wanted to be freed from his past. And his enemy. He tried to run away from his past with Julia but you know what happened next. Then he realized he can't run away because no matter what, his past will come back. So he decided to face it and free himself. He managed to defeat it and he finally got his freedom.

I was 'rickrolled' and that's how I came across this song. I really love this song. His voice is really something. Strong and clear. The song is also beautiful and probably something we all can relate to. It kinda reminds me of a guy I had a crush on. He also had a crush on me. But we were two very different people. Everything about us was the opposite of each other. Plus, our religion was different too. "We've known each other for so long Your heart's been aching but you're too shy to say it Inside we both know what's been going on" Those lines really described the situation we were both in. But we know we are meant for each other. So we never advanced forward. We stopped talking and I guess we both moved on. It's been a long time since I last heard of him. I am not sad or anything. That's just how life is. Anyway, this song is one of my favourites.

Aerosmith – Pink Lyrics

My interpretation will be different, I guess. When I first listened to this song I never thought that er, the meaning was 'that'. The song is slow but addictive. It kinda reminded me of the 'butterflies' we feel in our stomach when we see our crush. The nervousness, the fast heartbeats, the giddiness, the palm sweating and the stammering. It reminded me how we feel when talking to our crushes and feeling shy and nervous. And the happiness we feel when we see our crush is smiling at us, getting the chance to talk to them and even shaking their hands. The song never shouted 'vagina' in my head like it seems to do for most people. Everyone looks at things differently. So I suppose it has that meaning too. In colour themes and meanings, pink is the colour of sweetness, femininity and love. It's pretty obvious this song is about pink as in 'love'. The 'love' can be sexually-oriented or emotionally. So I think this song can mean anything from small crushes to vaginas. Simply put Pink is a song about love.

Anyway, mainly because of my friend, I think this song is talking about a guy who tries to act cool despite always failing and ending up looking like an idiot. The song does tells that he tries to look cool to the point that his friends tell him to stop and he doesn't needs to do all of that .He doesn't cares what people say or think of him. That guy really wants to be cool and won't listen to anyone. Even though he ends up making himself look like the most foolish person on earth.

This song always remind me of a friend of mine. He always tries to make himself look cool. But he fails many times and people get annoyed at him. But he doesn't cares and still believes he is the coolest person on earth. I tend to "lecture" him to stop being an idiot and get to work. He is lazy and doesn't likes to work but he sure does like to make big dreams like "he's gonna be a millionaire" and all that. Whenever I hear the first parts of the song namely these lyrics. Many people have different opinions about this song. Some think this song is related to the music/film industry, prostitution and the Illuminati. Others think it is related to love. My initial interpretation of this song was about a girl loving a guy who happens to be a criminal. She helps him and they become friends. However, because he is a criminal the guy isn't accepting her love. And she is trying to convince him to accept her feelings in this song. But when I saw the video, I got a bit confused because it shows about being forced to do sex slavery. Well, the song can have multiple meanings but it's a good song to listen to. ^_^

This song sounds more to me like a girl is having an affair with a guy who already has a girlfriend. The girl knows he likes her more than his gf but he can't leave his gf. "They taped over your mouth Scribbled out the truth with their lies Your little spies" It would seem that some people know about his affair with her and they are making the guy leave her, and also in the process making him lie to the girl that he doesn't likes her. "If you wanna play it like a game Come on, come on let's play 'Cause I'd rather waste my life pretending Than have to forget you for one whole minute" This tells me that the girl loves him so much, that she is willing to secretly go out with him. The guy wanted her to forget about him and leave him but she doesn't wants to. "Nothing compares to a quiet evening alone Just the one two of us is counting on That never happens, I guess I'm dreaming again Let's be more than, this" The girl wants to be more than what they are. They also seem to have a hard time being alone together. Possibly due to the guy avoiding her. Maybe he feels bad to see her so he avoids her. Anyway, that's what I think it means. But I also like some of the other interpretations written over here too.

Some may not like this song because it is talking about committing a murder. Which I believe it is. However, I love this song because it holds the truth. Yeah, not all troubled teenagers will go around with the intention to shoot and kill (some commit suicide or take drugs) but we can't deny the fact that there have been cases going on which this song tells us about. This is a dark, sad and lonely song. And sometimes, I want to go and tell Robby (Robert) "No, don't do that!" and then I remember that it's just a song and feel awkward for thinking like that. It's a beautiful song to me. And I like to say that Foster The People did an amazing job, understanding and describing how the troubled person would be thinking.

This song seems to be about a depressed person who has lost all hope in her life. She loves someone dearly and hopes that he can help her 'live'. He doesn't knows she is depressed. He finds that out and is surprised about it (All this time, I can't believe I couldn't see. Kept in the dark, but you were there in front of me). She is slowly dying and she is becoming aware that she is not alive even though she is. She is empty inside. She has no soul. It seems to her that her spirit is left her body and is gone somewhere. She sees that she is also unaware of what is happening around her. (I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems I've got to open my eyes to everything.) Simply put this song is mostly about helping someone who has lost hope and wishes to be brought back 'alive'. That's what I think.

This song is really beautifully sad. I can feel it how sad it would feel when you break up. I think it's pretty obvious but the song is about a break up. The relationship isn't working. They don't seem to communicate well and may have been arguing a lot. The girl decides that she needs to break up with him. She knows that he won't like it (in the song she says ' I know you'll ask to hold on and carry on as if nothing's wrong') but she knows that she is hurt and it's best to break up since the relationship is not working. She hates it because she truly did loved him. She wished that things could have worked out but it seems it's not working. So she is taking the initiative to break up. And that's the part she hates. That she has to break up with him. That's what I think the song is about.

It's one of my favourite songs to listen. ^_^ It's pretty lively and easy to listen. I think anyone can relate to this song. It's a song about how sometimes a couple might have problems with each other and how people can use their imagination to think of a world where everything good happens to them and wish that they were living in their 'dream world' instead of the real world they live in. I'm pretty sure most of us have daydreamed about living a happy life and had sometimes wished we were living in the dream world we created. It's pretty hard for us to be 'perfect' in the real world we live. But in our dream world everything is perfect. That's what the song is about I think.

It's a song about hating the police when they catch people doing something unlawful like doing drugs, driving a car without a license or 'ridin dirty'. This song simply displays the frustrations those people feel. It is true that people mostly hate the cops or anyone whose job is related to the law when things don't go their way because of the law. Those people just hate the cops instead of accepting their mistakes.

In short, I think the song is about a guy who is going through a lot of hardships with his life. Like he doesn't has friends or has some family problem? Maybe he is jobless and homeless and he had a girlfriend who supported him and gave him a home. Maybe his girlfriend must have worked day and night to support him and take care of him and he did nothing. Maybe he even mistreated her. But then he cheated on her (there's a lot of hints in the song that he cheated on her) and she left him all alone. Here's my interpretation: "I don't know why You want to follow me tonight When the rest of the world With whom I've crossed and I've quarreled Let's me down so For a thousand reasons that I know To share forever the unrest With all the demons I possess Beneath the silver moon " I think he is referring to the moon when he says "You want to follow me tonight". The moon seems to be the only thing that gives him company. The moon is probably a symbol of hope in this song. He mentioned that he had troubles with people ( When the rest of the world.... With whom I have crossed and quarreled). He also mentions that he is upset over many things because of having those problems with those people. ( Let's me down so...For a thousands reasons that I know). He also mentions how the moon is the only thing that gives him company. (To share forever the unrest... With the demons that I possess... Beneath the silver moon). By demons I think he means his pain, sadness and anger. The moon is something eternal I guess...so maybe he feels like he can share his pain (unrest) with the moon forever. "Maybe you were right But baby I was lonely I don't want to fight I'm tired of being sorry " I think this tells us that he cheated on a girl who meant a lot to him because she was the only one who didn't had a problem with him.... until he cheated on her. Perhaps in the beginning, he denied that he wasn't wrong at cheating on her but after she left him, he started to regret and he is feeling sorry. He doesn't likes to have a fight with her because she used to be someone who didn't had a problem with him and never fought with him. "Chandler and Van Nuys With all the vampires and their brides We're all bloodless and blind And longing for a life Beyond the silver moon" Chandler and Van Nuys is probably a name of a place I think. Maybe after she left him, he went there. Vampires are known to suck the life out of people so that they can continue living. Maybe the vampires he is referring to are people who hurt other people to be happy. By brides, I think he is referring to people who are the "vampire's" slaves. You know, it was (and probably still is) known that once a woman gets married, she becomes the property of her husband or something like that. I think he thinks he is a vampire because he hurts other people and because he doesn't has a "life". Maybe the people at Chandler and Van Nuys are also like him and so he says "We are all bloodless and blind." Bloodless meaning to be lifeless (or living an unhappy life) and blind probably means they can't see where they are going with their life and they can't see which is the right path. Longing for life beyond the silver moon could mean that they all wish their life was more meaningful I think. "I'm standing in the street Crying out for you No one sees me But the silver moon " Here, I think he tells us that the girl left him and he is in agony because of it. However, nobody is bothered by how regretful he is feeling. Probably because they knew he cheated on her and hurt her and they are more than happy about the fact that she left him. So "No one sees him". Only the silver moon keeps him company. "So far away â?? so outer space I've trashed myself â?? I've lost my way I've got to get to you I've got to get to you" Here, I think he is describing how much in pain he is that he can't understand anything. He probably started relying on drugs or alcohol to forget his pain. However, it seems that that isn't helping him as well. All he knows is that he needs her to stop feeling so sad and lost. So I think this is a song about a very lonely guy who just can't seem to do anything good with his life. I guess.
