This is one of the greatest songs by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Have you seen the video? If not, you must!
Quick take: You can always count on despair and sadness. When everything else around you leaves you, sadness and despair actually becoming a comforting friend. I have always found a friend in music during trying times.
I think Karen O nails it with her direct connection to the acceptance and relation to these feelings.
