When she is cleaning up the glass, contemplating whether or not she should get up and walk out, fixing her make-up because she is probably crying, and tip-toeing around so "he won't wake up," I think of an abusive relationship. When she asks, "is this the line?" I think she is deciding if this is finally the time that she has had too much and needs to leave, especially when "she waves him away" as she is walking out of the bedroom. Whatever it is actually about, it is a beautiful, albeit sad, song. |
