Good song...this can be viewed in all kinds of ways depending on what issue you are dealing with in your life where someone wants you to be a certain way or act a certain way. When we come into this world we all go through the growing up process and learn about the world around us. Sometimes it creates positive and negative things along the way BUT one should never conform to what society wants you to do. It's about what YOU want to do! Just be yourself and if others around you can't accept that than they aren't worth it. I've already pointed a few people in my life towards the door because I got tired of them bringing me down. It's hard but why keep living with the pain when life is too short! |

This is a great song and I'm seeing this song along the same lines as others about PTSD or some other dark issues regarding ones past. Sometimes there are things in ones life they don't wish to discuss. All you can do is be there for that person and if they wish to talk about it don't judge them. Everyone has some sort of past whether it's positive or negative Sometimes things happen in life that you have no control over and it's hard to move on. It's always great to have a support system that holds you up when you have hit the negative feelings in yourself or are just having a bad day. |

This song reminds me of my friend that I call Superman. He is always helping family, friends or co-workers. In this process he always has a smile. Sometimes I think he puts too much on himself and doesn't ask for help when he could use it. I guess since he's supposed to be like the man of steel it would show weakness to ask. I tell him that I'm riding around in his back pocket to watch over him and keep him out of trouble. It always seems like he's going in 50 directions and needs an angel to watch over him. This is a great song....I can't believe that it doesn't have more comments. I see this song as someone that you can't be without. When you are away from this person for any length of time you start to miss them and as soon as you see them you get a big smile on your face and you forget about your worries. |

Round and Round we go....I think most people have been in this for relationships. They aren't sure which way to go. Communication is the best part in any relationship. Sometimes one gets into a relationship that ends up hurting them more than saving them with no means of escape. You just take it one day at a time and hold your breath praying that person won't be nasty to you.
The other view is that you are involved with a lover outside of marriage and round and round you go because you never talk about what you want because it's forbidden. That person leaves and you miss the whole they filed from what you are missing and ask them to stay because you just need them there because you help each other. |

This is a great song....The beginning reminds me of a guy that I have gotten close to over the past year. I gave this individual my heart from day one because he took the time to listen and show me friendship. I'm not a very trusting person due to the fact most people have been nasty to me in my life and well I let him see my scars that aren't very pretty. He has been though a lot in his life also and well it's just great to find another person that doesn't judge you based on what you have done in the past. We went through a patch where I thought he was a fake and well things semi-ended or what ever it was but we always talked to one another. I don't think we could ever go without talking to one another because when things get rough for either of us we always have each others backs. It's a great feeling to have that. I think we all go though the phases where we don't think our lover wants us anymore. It's always great to let the ones in your life know why you need them or want them. One should always keep in mind that it's better to have friends than enemies because life is too short. |

This is my favorite song by Daughtry and the video is amazing. My view of the song is that you are in a relationship with someone and it didn't turn out the way you thought it would. You can't leave that person because you pray that it will get better but even years later it's the same. Then out of the blue someone comes into your life that changes your views of love. You try not to get too close because your current relationship is still there and your not sure how the new person in your life feels. There is also the issue of not wanting the same things to happen that you have sustained in your long term relationship. Sometimes it's best that your new flame is close and will be there if you need them when times are tough. |

I've listened to Pink since I was a teenager and recently I had someone get close to me and it scared me to the point I wanted to hide. I told him how I feel about it in writting because it's the only way I can talk right now and he says he will still be here. I'm tired of worrying about who will be there from one day to the next. My self esteem is low because I came from a difficult childhood and had to fight for everything in my life. I can understand where Pink is coming from with this song because if something isn't just the way everyone else wants it to be your the outcast. Everyone is beautiful in their own way! |

I just heard this song for the first time a few weeks ago. I watched the video and thought oh' my word that's me. I never did the cutting part but it's amazing that even when you are at the bottom at some point in your life there is always someone else out there that is going through the same thing or has it worse. My point is that you should never change just for someone else because we were all created in our own way. Never those the faith in yourself! |
