My favorite song of this wonderful album. Just fantastic. I understand it as a very sad song, as the lovers are tearing apart their relationship. I am not sure if they really want to be separated, maybe some forced thing. Orlando's voice at the last part is just amazing. It gives me goose bumps all over my arm. |

I dont know if it is a first love thing, but for sure it is their "first night". Just look at the last line: "But that night we knew" (they were kids, but they knew that they were doing some nice love). I understand "grew up at midnight", like after they did the thing they were now grown-ups. Indeed a very beautiful song. Also feel nostagilc about it. |
