While this song may seem like it's sex-related, it's not. The real meaning is hidden between the lines - you really have to analyze it. Jesse McCartney is running a pizza delivery business/fast food store. [Knows I got the best in town] [And she just want to shake] (This is actually meant to be "she just wants a shake".) This girl is placing an order with him (a milkshake) because she knows that he has the best in town. [And I won't let her wait] The girl is getting impatient because the pizza is taking a while. Jesse doesn't want to risk his restaurant's reputation by holding up the line and earning himself bad reviews. [One day she started texting me] Jesse's new pizza restaurant is now accepting orders via text. [Asking if she could borrow that recipe] She liked the pizza so much that she wanted to get their recipe (Jesse wouldn't give it to her, obviously. It's top secret). [When she calls, I know Exactly what she wants from me Every time I hear my phone ringing] This girl is a valued customer at Jesse's pizza restaurant because she comes in/calls up so often that he knows what to expect from her and what her order is going to be. Clearly, this song is about the dependency this girl has on Jesse's pizzas and milkshakes. It tells the story of a valued customer and the evolution of a takeaway business. |
