"it's all i wanted it's all i could see" The way I understand this song is that the singer wanted something/someone and that was all they could see. "you can watch me bleed settle your belief inside of me" He hurt someone in the process of getting what they wanted and now they're feeling guilty. "take someone beside you realize this ain't your love to break and the someone beside you settle your belief inside of me, me" But he wants the person to understand that even though he hurt them, that gives them no right to break the love the singer and this other person have. " feeling in your heart was more than i could see here " He didn't know how strong this person's feelings were.. or he didn't believe they were. "one and two is three " This line somehow stands out, to point out there's three people in this situation and one of them is the odd one out and that's just the way life is.. " would you should you could you cut me down down " He's wondering if he deserves to be punished by this person he hurt. Just the picture I get when I listen to it.... |

These lines sum it all up pretty well "And I've been taking chances I've been setting myself up for the fall And I've been keeping secrets From my heart and from my soul" It sounds to me it's about a woman who's been making mistakes, taking different lovers and sabotaging her chances of happiness because she didn't think she deserved it. "keeping secrets from my heart and from my soul" part makes me think that she was in love with someone but didn't want to admit it even to herself. She was afraid to love this person so she sabotaged the relationship. |
