I imagine its thinking you are over a breakup but you aren't. Just as you are moving on, something reminds you of that person...Reminiscing only makes you feel sick and you kinda imagine it playing out differently. You were there for them at their worst and also their best. Time passes, you continue to carry on with other failed relationships under your belt and it bothers you whether its family, friends, or lovers.--I didn't read the lyrics I am going off of how he sings the song, and how I heard it. |

Seems to be for the person who took a piece/chunk of you, and it wasn't worth it not even a little bit. All the emotions were bottled up and you finally decided to let it pour out, not caring who sees or hears...& you only hope that you'll feel better afterwards, because you know you won't be going back NOT EVER. |

For me, its about the loss of a child regardless of what--whether its abortion, miscarriage, stillbirth, or adoption. Me personally I would say if I got a chance to be a mother again I definitely would not take it for granted. I was not ready, but maybe next time around I will be and love them with my whole heart. I know I may be way off but thats just my take on it and how it speaks to me. So now I can work on becoming a better person for whatever else is to come in the future. I do believe that some things are a blessing in disguise and it did happen for a reason. Great tune though it can mean a lot of things other than a relationship...I find that it's more of someone speaking to themselves about how to right all the wrongs so far in their lives. |

A bit bummed out that the lyric line isn't "people offer two things you should know by now; be careful what you put them through" I really loved thinking it was that, and for some reason I feel that it really is that. It makes more sense to me that way...I assumed he meant people only offer love and hate so be wise with how you treat someone. I think of karma when I hear this tune and makes me feel that one day we all pay for whatever we thought we "got away with". Think about it, you can easily go from loving to hating someone or, hating to loving someone (in general whoever they are to you)...life is just tricky that way!! |
