This is one of my favorite songs and I think it is about taking acid. "They told me how they fear it" sounds like getting advice on how to avoid a bad trip. "Now they're placing it on their tongues" def seems like someone doing acid, literally putting it on their tongue. "For to see it with my own eyes" this line relates to the experience on acid because you see things that you never have before such as vivid imagery and bright colors. "All the men of faith and men of science had their questions Could it ever be on earth as it is in heaven?" -- When tripping it feels like you have all the answers and you feel like you have a deeper understanding of life. |
