I believe that this song isn't about hating the idea of religion, or the hating of faith but the hatred of hypocrites. The hypocrites who instead of saying "I hate these people because blah, blah, blah!" or "I hate this idea because I blah blah blah!" use their FAITH as a shield and sword. I'm a christian [I was afraid of putting this out here for fear of haters] and I know for a fact-for an absolute fact-that most people ARE NOT ACTUALLY CHRISTIANS...and it sickens me when my *ahem* how did this one man put?-"fellow Christians" rise up and do these nasty things in "the lords" work. I know [not wanting you to feel like you have to agree with me. like it says 'My Interpretation"] in my heart that if God truly thought that all these things "my fellow christians" believe in is true, than quite frankly I would stop being a christian and worship the shit that falls outta my ass. Bravo, Voltaire! BRAVO! 'God is a liberal, God is a Democrat, God wants you to vote Republican Never trust a man who puts his words in the mouth of God and says it's absolute truth It's lies and it smells like death It's all in a days work, taking money from the poor Why do you think that God would need your dirty money if He wants to start a holy war? Self righteous, judgmental, first to throw the stone And you're using His name for your own protection' 'Cause God is neither good nor bad God is you and me God is everything |

| I feel like it's more about pointing out that if there is an all knowing all loving god up there, that he wouldn't think those thing and he [Voltaire] is calling people out who use religion to defend their own hate. | |

| Only the extreme ones. Religion isn't supposed to be a militaristic code that you "must do or you go to hell", it's supposed to be about making you a better person or inspire you to be better than you are. | |

| Uhhhh....what...the heck? | |

| I think the song is plain and simple with a simple message: Never separate a child away from their loving parent...whether they have rocket launchers in their eyes or not. ;) | |

| I truly love this song. Even though most of Voltaires songs are dark and sometimes just plain scary, you want to listen to them not only because of the lyrics but also the way the song is written. Not many people are willing to cross lines but he pushes them. And that I believe is one of the best things about him. | |
