This is just me saying how much I love this album, how much I love Sleeping At Last, and how they're so calming and relaxing. It's also me loving how their songs can be interpreted in a number of different ways. Their songs can be interpreted as religious, or talking about problems between a relationship, or problems between friends and trying to work it out. This song could be the singer telling anyone to help him out, talking to random people. Or this song could be him talking to God, asking for His Help. Or even his significant other. Anyways I just love this band and this music just helps me so much thanks. |

I just want to compare this song to Taylor Swift's "Wonderland," because they both are based of Alice in Wonderland. This song is more creepy and dark than Taylor's, as are most of Melanie Martinez's songs. But I like that this takes on a dark version of Wonderland, because most people make it into a fantasy. Basically all of these lines are references somehow to Alice in Wonderland, except the "I'm peeling the skin off my face" line confuses me because I don't remember Alice peeling her skin off. Maybe the caterpillar going through metamorphosis? |

I believe this song, to me, is about a man who loves a woman. The man loves the woman, but thinks she feels differently. I'd say the song is from the man's point of view. "If I had only felt the warmth within your touch If I had only seen how you smile when you blush Or how you curl your lip when you concentrate enough Well I would have known What I was living for all along What I've been living for" During this verse, he attempts suicide, because she was his only reason for living ("Your love is my turning page," where she is his only reason to keep turning pages, I guess). If she couldn't return his love, then he had no reason to live. However, she does love him in return, and she does tell him right when he is about to kill himself. We can see this from the verb tense change from "What I was living for all along" and "What I've been living for". "Your love is my turning page Where only the sweetest words remain Every kiss is a cursive line Every touch is a redefining phrase" Basically, everything is beautiful, and a wonderful experience. Very sweet, much cute, wow. "I surrender who I've been for who you are For nothing makes me stronger than your fragile heart If I had only felt how it feels to be yours Well I would have known What I've been living for all along What I've been living for" He gives himself to her. He wants to protect her with his life. Basically, he wants to be her knight in shining armor, protecting her fragile heart. "Though we're tethered to the story we must tell When I saw you, well I knew we'd tell it well With a whisper we will tame the vicious seas Like a feather bringing kingdoms to their knees" The second line is basically love at first sight. He has known he has wanted to spend his whole life with her. The couplet at the end of the song basically means its them against the world. They can be peaceful yet victorious by themselves. |

| My interpretation of this song is a guy was in love with someone, and he screwed something up. Now he's depressed and scared (spiders would symbolize this). He can't stop thinking about how he screwed everything up (hence the spiderwebs hanging over him). He meets the person again after being alone for so long ('Here I am in my little bubble') and is apologizing to her. This actually has happened countless times to me, and that's how I relate to the song. | |

| I believe this song is about a person who feels alone and trapped (fugitive) and whenever he tries to reach out to a person to help or for a friend. However, everyone is distant. In the end he/she realizes that they aren't going to do anything to help, they're just going to watch, like spies. | |

| The story in the song is what I've gone through so many times in the past. The girl I liked spoke to me about the problems with her and her crush (and soon to become boyfriend) and it always made me so sad. I'm glad now that there are more songs that have this meaning than Taylor Swift. | |
