Creed wasn't that far from a Christian band, the rest of the guys decided on moving away from being a Christian band because the lead singer was an alcoholic. |

I don't know about atheist, but Kyle and Lou aren't Christian. I can't see a true atheist writing or even playing songs like Dreams or Beliefs. I think they're spiritual or just non religious. |

The song is just a statement that it is better to believe in something than believing in nothing at all. The last verse "In whatever will keep you believing we are not meaningless", reflects the diversity of the band by their beliefs. 3 of the 5 members of the band are Christians, including Dave Stephens. The other 2 are pretty quiet about their beliefs except for the fact that they aren't Christian. |
