This song conveys a lot of emotions and means a whole lotto me specifically and what I attach to these words The first verse is about waking up everyday and looking back at your mistakes and [for me] how your memory is slipping and the ghosts are the emotions you bottle up. These emotions don't fade [who forgot to float away] and you have no one to talk to about. You don't know why you feel this way and end the end it causes you to become numb to the thought of your life The chorus is just the same thought repeating about where you don't know where your life went, why you feel the way you do, and neither do you know how to fix it. The second part of the chorus [Sick of those goddamn clouds] you are sick of your past hanging over you and always reminding you of what you have done. The second verse is talking about trying to figure out how to fix your issues, with medicine and speaking to a therapist and all it does is feel as if they are cutting imaginary things out of your head and thoughts. The sentence that you "can't kil something that is already dead" is coming from the idea that medicine and therapists wont make you feel better when the past is always there and you just want someone to be there for you. The latter part of the second verse you realize what you need after going through the first part. You do not need anything to fix you but someone to be there for you. There was no need for a "medicine man" or surgery but to find who you are and someone to help you and find your place [home] in this world. I listen to this song as it reminds me about what I have became and even though my memory is fading more and more by month [I am 19 and I feel extremely sad about this] and my ghosts are my missing memories. |
