@[cjd94:9813] I'd also say that in regards to the keeper of time running slowly, perhaps this means if his death doesn't come along naturally or when it's "supposed to" he might end up taking his own life. It seems he's had a troubled life, the opium, gin, gambling, wars. I'm still not sure on this myself but it's one way of looking at it. |

I'd say the whole game of cards thing is only a metaphor to drive the main story behind the song. To me it's all about death "the keeper of time" is death. In illustrations throughout history you can see him holding an hourglass. |
