| Nirvana – On a Plain Lyrics | 12 years ago |

Personally, I think this song has the clearest meaning of all Nirvana tracks. It's about flying on a plane from destination A to destination B and everything that comes with it. "I'll start this off Without any words" Like I said, even Kurt knows, the meaning of this song is very simple "I got so high that" He went on board a plane and flew high up in the sky like people in planes normally do. "I scratched 'til I bled" Tomato juice "Love myself Better than you I know it's wrong So what should I do?" Because he's rich he bought tickets for first class and not economy, but he hates the gap between rich and poor and so he feels sorry for all the people who can't travel as comfortably as he does. "The finest day That I ever had Was when I learned To cry on command" He realized he can call a stewardess if he haves a problem and doesn't have to wait till one of them realizes thats somethings wrong like the onboard entertainment system not working etc "I'm on a plane I can't complain I'm on a plane" He is happy with travelling, pretty self-explanatory, this one. "My mother died Every night It's safe to say Don't quote me on that" The annoying plane noises gave him nightmares while he was asleep. Happens. "The black sheep got Blackmailed again Forgot to put On the zip code" He accidentially sent his suitcase to New Zealand (again) and is worried about this. "Somewhere I have heard this before In a dream my memory has stored As defense I'm neutered and spayed What the hell am I trying to say?" The flight is awfully long and he has to watch a movie twice. "It is now time To make it unclear To write off lines That don't make a sense" He writes this song. "One more special Message to go And then I'm done And I can go home" The board staff tells the people to put on their seat belts because they are landing and after they arrived he can drive home from the airport. "I'm on a plane I can't complain I'm on a plane I can't complain I'm on a plane I can't complain I'm on a plane I can't complain I'm on aplane I can't complain" He is at home and thinks about, how the flight, the aircraft and the staff etc was not that bad. |

| 30 Seconds to Mars – Buddha For Mary Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I think this song "Butter for Mary" is about eating breakfast with no butter left (on Mars) A simple fear to wash you away (She thinks, maybe there is no butter left in the fridge) An open mind canceled it today (someone else ate it maybe without her knowing it) A silent song that's in your words ("Fuck the one who stole my butter") A different taste that's in your mind (She hates Jelly) This is the life on Mars This is the life on Mars (They are the first few people on a mars base, and the food is rationated, so there is never very much around at all) Mary was a different girl Had a thing for astronauts Mary was the type of girl She always liked to play a lot (This girl, Mary, always wanted to go on a space mission, because she liked space things. So she ended up on Mars) Mary was a holy girl Father whet her appetite Mary was the type of girl She always liked to fall apart (She wanted butter, and there was no butter left so she "fell apart" and went crazy to find out, who ate it) Tell me did you see her face Tell me did you smell her taste (The others are afraid of her because she was so angry and talk about her when she's not looking) Tell me what's the difference Don't they all just look the same inside? ( She hates them all, and thinks they are all the same because she still don't know who ate the butter) Butter for Mary Here it comes (NASA launched a new rocket with butter on it to mars) Mary was an acrobat But still she couldn't seem to breathe Mary was becoming everything she didn't want to be Mary would hallucinate And see the sky up on the wall Mary was the type of girl She always liked to fly (Abstinence syndroms, she sits in her room and believes she could fly to earth herself to get butter) He said, "Can you help me, are you sleeping" She said, "Will you rape me now?" He said, "Leave the politics to mad men" She said, "I believe your lies" (Someone talks with her in a silent moment, and he says, he didn't eat anything butter related, but he is lying. He ate it, but he's too much of a coward to tell her the terrible truth. He tells her to calm down and wait for the NASA rocket delivery) He said, "There's a paradise beneath me" She said, "Am I supposed to bleed?" He said, "You better pray to Jesus" She said, "I don't believe in God" (He wants her to think of something else than butter, so they talk about religion) If Mary ever gets the butter is unknown, but its likely possible, hence the songs title. |
