This entire album is about the rot forming form within the entire christian religion. Specifically directed at mainstream, mega-churches. "You were conceived on a storyboard in an uptown high-rise, where your celebrity was born from umbilical obscurity." = Religion has been twisted and turned from whatever it started out as and now it's a big business centered on making the followers give until it hurts. "And invent brand name for your "believers" = Baptists, Catholics,7th Day, Latter Day Saints / Mormons, Jehovah Witnesses, etc. "We'll still be waiting for something stimulating because in the end all you sold us was boredom." = Churches these days are just rewording and regurgitating the same messages compared to whatever is happening in the news and this is boring and they are not helping anyone. |
