| Morrissey – I'm OK By Myself Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I don't think he's saying a close potential friends is trying to kill him, I think that he is just saying that generally people aren't interested in him in a sexual way. Other than that, I don't see this as sarcasm, even though it may be him trying to be ok by himself when he really isn't. Love this song, I never understand why this album didn't do too well. (Yes. I realise how awkward my username is, didn't think it through...) |

| Morrissey – Hairdresser On Fire Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I always believed that this was just about how important your appearence is to your confidence. The whole hairdresser thing, like 'could totally destroy me or save my life' etc. and the bit about sueing is about just a simple haircut can be so important to whether you are happy or not. You are repressed but you're remarkably dressed - awesome line |

| Morrissey – I Am Hated For Loving Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I always thought that this was more general than most people say. I think this is just about having a passion/love for something - I guess homosexuality would make sense, but too many people just assume that it must be - but being hated for it. Maybe it's just about his music | |
| Morrissey – Lucky Lisp Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I agree with xod with all the references to gay lifestyle. When you're gift unfurls, when you're talent becomes aparent - when you come out i will roar from the stalls - possible gay sex reference- taking it behind i will girgle from the circle - another gay sex reference - taking it in the mouth nine leaf clover is apparently again sex reference the chorus i think is saying that although as with a lisp being gay at first seems negative, it is in fact a good thing. and it wasnt wasted on him because he is going out with moz. basically, i think it is about somebody who is gay, not out yet, and n=another gay guy telling him that being gay is not bad. |
