Metric – Stadium Love Lyrics 12 years ago
When I listen to this song, I think about us humans and how we're all 'pushed into the ring' which is life, and forced to find a way out on our own and try to be successful. In that time, we all turn against each other trying to beat one another at being victorious and reaching success.

We're all put in the stadium of life where we're expected to make a mark in this world, and make something of ourselves to be remembered ('Figure it out to wow the crowd'). We can't be acknowledged in life, without 'stadium love', which in this context is the appreciation of the important people in our lives.

'No one's getting out without stadium love'

Metric is the best when it comes to amazing lyrics <3

Bridgit Mendler – Hurricane Lyrics 12 years ago
In my opinion, the lyrics to this song are really mindless (especially in the verses where she raps) and have no deep meaning whatsoever. 'I'm flopping on my bed like a flying squirrel'.....what?!

I do like the song from the bridge until the end, because Bridgit's vocals are very good. I'm not sure her voice was edited in the studio (it most probably was) but I still like this song. It's my guilty pleasure.

Pink – Just Give Me a Reason Lyrics 12 years ago
So, I think that the song talks about a couple whose flame is gone out of their relationship. They feel like they don't love each other as much as they used to, and they're still together, only because they feel like they're obliged to.

The female perspective in the song (P!nk, obviously) is bored and is reminiscing about how she first fell in love with her husband (sung by Nate Ruess). She wants to believe that they're still as in love as they used to be, but can't bring herself to say it, and isn't sure about how her partner feels about it..

The male perspective is completely oblivious to what his wife's feelings and is surprised that she feels that way, because he thought that everything was going well between them. He soon realizes that she's right and he too, wants them to go back to the way they used to be. However, he's much more laid-back and thinks that it'll be easy but his partner wants him to put more effort into their marriage.

In the end, they manage to give each other a reason to still be happily together :) This song is amazing.

Metric – Gimme Sympathy Lyrics 12 years ago
I think that the band is talking about a person who's grown up too fast. They figured out their life out very quickly and wanted to get on living their ideal life and didn't have time to enjoy the fun times, and in the process they've hurt many people who love them.

He/she is asking for the people who they've hurt for forgiveness, but hesitates because he/she knows that they've made a mistake so they end up not doing it.

I don't really know what else, but I also think that the interpretation of fortune and fame is also pretty good :)

Metric – Breathing Underwater Lyrics 12 years ago
In my opinion, I think that the band is talking about a couple who think that they're deeply in love and think they are meant for each other, and dream of having the perfect life; A nice house, good jobs, raising a family, etc.

Soon after, they realize that all of this isn't easy to have. They realized they've been 'breathing underwater' because they've been fantasizing about a life that isn't meant to be, and they have to face reality.

This song is amazing though <3

Jonas Brothers – Pom Poms Lyrics 12 years ago
Okay so I've just watched the music video for this song. At first, the term 'Pom poms' seemed pretty innocent at the beginning but as it got further in the video, and the girls started dancing suggestively with a lot of hip and booty movements, I realized that the boys' idea of 'Pom Poms' in this song is a girl's butt cheeks or her breasts maybe?

'And I won't let it go to waste
If I get a taste I'm going to drink the whole thing'

Not really sure how to feel about their comeback.. They seem to want to show less of their charming, boyish sides like a few years back and instead go for a more sexy, womanizer appearance.

Walk Off The Earth – Gang Of Rhythm Lyrics 12 years ago
So like in the band's music video, I think the song talks about living in a boring or bad place but you can overcome the moody vibes and instead, start listening or making music with people you know and love and being carefree with them. Just letting loose and having fun with music :)

I love this song <3

Walk Off The Earth – Red Hands Lyrics 12 years ago
In my opinion, I think the group is singing about someone who's made a lot of mistakes in his past, maybe with the law and the police; ('I know that I messed up a few times or what you wanna call it') but he finds a person who manages to look past his mistakes, only for the main character to be accused from that same person about something else that wasn't his fault.

The person still accuses him nonetheless because of the main character's past with the law and is unwilling to believe that it wasn't him.The main character tries to convince the person that he didn't do it but to no avail.

This is just my interpretation :) I really adore this song.

Imagine Dragons – It's Time Lyrics 12 years ago
So in my opinion, the male has decided to get a fresh start to his life after being dumped by his partner 'So this is what you meant when you said that you were spent?' and it seems that he's made some pretty bad decisions that upset his family.

He decides to go out and find out what his purpose in life is, and drops out of school 'Packing my bags and giving the academy a rain check'.

He's afraid at what his parents will say and he's reminiscing about the town that he has grown up in, but decides that it's for his own good to leave and discover himself; 'I don't ever want to let you, I don't ever wanna leave this town'.

In the chorus, he's telling his loved ones that he's tired of this life here and that he's leaving temporarily, but that he'll always be the same person that they know and love.

In the bridge, he's finally made it out on his own and he's exploring, but he still wonders if he made the right decision and is doubting himself.

But when the chorus starts again, it has a new air of achievement and joy and in my opinion, it's the male finally being happy with himself and he's found someone who really cares for him unlike the girl who broke up with him at the beginning. He comes back to his hometown at last, and his loved ones are ecstatic to see him again and they finally decide to accept him for who he is, despite the decisions that he's made.

I really do love this song. Sorry for the long back story :)

Taylor Swift – The Last Time Lyrics 12 years ago
So, the song obviously shows a couple's relationship from 2 different sides; the male's (Gary Lightbody) and the female's (Taylor Swift). I created my own little backstory for the song about how in the end both sides get their heart broken in the end, so feel free to read it :)

At the beginning, when Lightbody is singing from the male's perspective, it seems like he's coming back to his girlfriend and begging for forgiveness even though he's left her so many times ('Found myself at your door, just like all those times before')

He knows he has little chance of getting her back but he's still there because he realized that he's made a mistake and that he can't be without her; 'Right before your eyes I'm breaking'

When he sings the chorus, he swears that it'll be the last time he'll leave her and that she's breaking his heart 'in the blink of an eye' by not taking him back.

Then comes Taylor singing the second verse in the female's perspective. She seems reluctant to take him back because once she has, he'll just leave her again like several times previously. It hurts her to say no to him ('Right before your eyes I'm aching') because she obviously still has feelings for him but doesn't want to get her heart broken once more.

At the bridge, it seems as though the female and male are arguing. The female is trying to get him to leave her home
'This is the last time you tell me I've got it wrong'

The male says to her in his own way that she's the love of his life;
'This is the last time I say it's been you all along'

The female still attempts to get him to leave her alone because she can't stand watching him ditch her again if she takes him back;
'This is the last time I let you in my door'

The man is still trying as hard as he can to win her back by telling her he won't leave again.
'This is the last time I won't hurt you anymore'

At the very end of the song when they're both repeating 'This is the last time I'm asking you', notice how Lightbody is raising his voice while he sings which to me, seems like the male is begging with all his might for her to love him again. Meanwhile, Taylor is singing with a low and calm voice which I interpret as her rejecting him for 'The Last Time' because she tells herself that she won't give in to his apologies and seems unfazed by this, when in reality she's completely heartbroken to let him go.

So to those who actually read my interpretation; Thank you :) This really is a beautiful song and I always try to make little back stories for the music I listen to.
