| Bad Religion – When? Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
The part where he says "I've seen a lot of things in 5 years." Is most likely referring to the fact that Bad Religion broke up in 1983 and technically reunited in '85 for "Back to the Known" but they got back together for good in '88 when this album came out. I used the line "If you think you've got it made just revel in your selfish ways cause when the world stops turning so will you." in an English paper last year. I actually won an award from my local newspaper for the essay. |

| Propagandhi – Last Will & Testament Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| @TheFeesh, It's representative of people who want change but aren't willing to go out and actually do anything about it. "To preach what ought to be, but ensure it never is in the present tense." Basically saying how things should be but not doing anything about it and ensuring that it doesn't happen or isn't in the present tense. | |

| This song could easily be applied today with the NSA stealing our private information (emails). | |
| Propagandhi – Potemkin City Limits Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I thought the first part was about a guy who works in a store and he's working during Black Friday... Haha. The first few lines "Francis didn’t give a fuck about the rollbacks, the overproduction, the reduced demand. He never gave much thought to disputed contracts." I thought Francis is just a cashier or stock boy and doesn't deal much with upper management and big decisions. "The panic grew as the humans stalked among them. When the screaming began, Francis shut his eyes and felt the hand of inhumanity brush over him. But his would-be killer’s back turned for a moment and a blinding ray of light spread across the floor. In a crimson pool he saw his own reflection as he bolted for the door." I thought might be talking about Francis about to open doors for people and they come rushing in and trample him to death. Then after that it lost me. Probably because it's about a pig. Haha. |

| Led Zeppelin – I Can't Quit You Baby Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| I think it's definitely about drug/alcohol addiction and trying to quit. (Alcohol moreso I think) "I gotta put you down for awhile" could be referring to putting down the bottle. "Made me mistreat my only child" I think is referring to the narrator getting drunk and beating his kid. "When you hear me moaning and groaning, baby.... you know you're my one desire" is probably saying that the narrator is drinking his sorrows away. | |
