Fixed. Amazing song, one of my instant favorites from the new album. I believe "It's all downhill from here" may not have the meaning we first get from it. As the band themselves said, these lyrics are the most direct, "raw" and emotional. Not really my favorite style, but it does fit the song as a whole. |

Great song, yeah. Wish his enounciation was clearer in that verse, though. haha As some have stated elsewhere, it seems like a desert song with this "religious" subtext. But that's it. I still haven't worked out what I think the general message of the song is. I like the obvious analogies in the second verse, about being a small part on the Earth and all. And I knew that third line was wrong, I even thought it could have been "...until erase, forgive, forgot", but I can't unhear "mental erase"! Thanks for helping out, I believe it's pretty accurate now. |
