| Cutting has nothing to do with trying to get attention - from anyone. Yes, it's a concious choice, but it's driven by an UNconcious unfulfilled need that the person most likely has little understanding of. For example, when someone is abused by the person who is supposed to be protecting and loving them, they come to associate pain with love, and that pain is a substitute that they find comfort in and can provide for themselves. It's really not that hard to figure out. | |
