| Coheed and Cambria – Hearshot Kid Disaster Lyrics
| 12 years ago

This song is similar to "Delirium Trigger", but here Maria (the good half) is speaking to Claudio to combat Matthew's influence over Chase ("still searching for your call...") Maria knows that he is good based on his lineage ("still searching for your faith in the arm that killed the president") as it is highly believed that Newo and Ikkin assassinated the tyrannical Coheed and Cambria. The main chorus switches to the perspective of Claudio, who has never felt the love he deserves from his parents. The simple joy of helping him fix his father, Ikkin, a sandwich being the highlight of his life ("I need Mayo" "I won't fail you now"). |

This song switches perspectives to a crew making a space expedition to the Sun, but as Matthew (the evil half) continues to take over Maria (the good half), the Sun exacts its vengeance on these unwanted visitors and kills them. The Sun does this to show off his power as it begins to become truly evil. The song closes with the Sun marveling at his destruction ("come know me as God"). |

| Coheed and Cambria – Everything Evil Lyrics

This song begins with Chase, badly injured from the car wreck that killed his parents, lying in a hospital room. Matthew (the Sun's evil half) begins to speak to him, realizing the darkness within Chase and urging him to do evil ("Evolve! Monster!"). Meanwhile the Kilgannon family (New, Ikkin, Mariah, and Claudio) have decided to take Chase in and are trying to comfort him ("stay until Wednesday..."). But Matthew continues to try to convince Chase to do evil and kill his foster family ("a series of knocks to the young girl's head side"). The lyrics "Jesse just come look at what your brother did" refer to the Moon (known as Jesse) who represents neutrality and is spiritually the "brother" of the Sun. This is Newo and Ikkin, skeptical of the Sun and its influence on the citizens of the world, crying out to the Moon as they curse their "god". The FBI is tipped off about the couple's behavior and secretly begins to follow them, as Chase flees the home of his foster parents ("won't you run") and his new neighborhood (nicknamed The Fence) as he tries to resist the influence of Matthew. The final lines ("dear Claudio, I wish goddamn it...") are meant to represent the turmoil the Kilgannon family has found themselves in. |

The second part of the "Armory Wars", this song is the first to get into the characters of the story. It begins with a family - Josephine, her husband Patrick, and Patrick's son Chase from a previous marriage - traveling to a future version of New Jersey to visit Josephine's sister Newo, her husband Ikkin, and their children Mariah and Claudio. On the way there, however, the family crashes their car and Josephine and Patrick are killed. Meanwhile, Chase survives and is taken in by Newo and Ikkin. This song is from the perspective of Patrick, who berates himself for not saving his family as he dies. |

| Coheed and Cambria – Time Consumer Lyrics
| 12 years ago
|
This is the first song in Coheed and Cambria's overarching story "The Armory Wars", which spans each of the band's albums. This song sets the tone for the setting of the story and the tone.
"The Armory Wars" is set in a post-apocalyptic Earth approximately 20 years after the assassinations of the world leaders Coheed and Cambria. Now an anarchist state with no one to turn to, the citizens of the world have begun worshipping the Sun - or the "Time Consumer" (as the Sun is how we define time). In this universe, the Sun has two parts, one named Maria (the good) and one named Matthew (the evil). The lyrics of this song are the people of the world worshipping and praising the sun ("Maria my star, Matthew goodnight"). It appears that the Sun is more than it seems, and the final lines of the song are a discussion between two of the major characters (Newo and her husband Ikkin) on taking matters into their own hands... |
