This song is about Buddy losing his faith and I find pretty brutal in some sense because he went into details about suicide and last thoughts. It always makes me sad how people can talk about killing themself so freely because I think no one should have these thoughts... |

Buddy was never afraid to go really deep even before his coming out. This is what real artists are, they have so much to give and they share it all with us. I've been listening to this band for years now and even though their genre it's not my favourite, I really do love their music. Not to mention the fact that I think Buddy Nielsen is extremely cute. :P |

I'm totally in love with this song. As a gay man I'm moved by these lyrics and the official video but this isn't about homosexuality and the Vatican. This is more then that. This is about having faith in yourself and for love itself. He's pretty much telling us that love is his religion and I'm glad because that's also mine. |

"Mon petit vulcan / your eruptions and disasters / I keep calm admiring your lava" this is pretty clever and ironic if you ask me. And I also read sex references through the lines because there's nothing primal and natural then sex. We know Björk's original way to sing about sex. But this is actually making love or at least you're in love with the other person who in the end doesn't really reciprocate your feelings and left you brused. You can tell it not only by the lyrics but even with the way she's singing, first softly and slowly like she's trying to hold back, then happily and excited to turn out loud, angry and disappoined. |

The "I love you but you're so out of my league" song. But Thom's clever and add "it's all right / it's all wrong" in the end almost like questioning the entire thing, himself, the love he feels for the other person and love itself. I like how simple but deep the lyrics are. This is what I feel while listening to this song now that I'm becoming an adult. |

Maybe because I'm in this weird situation (I'm in love with a potential closet-case boy) but when I first heard the song I thought about an out and proud gay guy who's in love with a guy that's still in the closet. It's like the song it's about me, what I feel for him, what I think about this situation like when he sees me he feels love deep inside but he refuses to let me see it or like he tries so hard not to feel something and being another person. I'm sure it's not the real meaning of the song but it fits and I know for an absolute fact that when you're in the closet you really could be passive agressive. |
