| Myles Kennedy is clearly a Christian. This song is referring to satan as the liar. He holds us back from the truth, which is in Jesus Christ. Satan deceives us into lust, hate, material possesion, greed, and lies. Upon being free from the shackles of deception, we can put our trust in Jesus Christ as King!
