I think this song is about 2 really good friends that always knew they loved eachother. They werent dating but they always stuck together, "She was chasin her thrills ... I lived under her window" I think he means he followed her as she pursued her dreams. I think when he says "She was gettin me pills when I was into her best friend" he tries to convey that he was trying to make her jealous and it didnt work because she was still getting him drugs or watever. I think they challenge eachother for fun and are both strong minded and independant, and the chorus is just about how they take the piss out of eachother and it bugs her. At the end, "I dont like you, you cant stand me, I cant love you any more than this" It shows she tries to keep up her usual frustration with him, but its half hearted and she finally relents and admits how she really feels without going on to joke bout it and confirming what the two always believed |
