I think it points to the pain of losing someone to death, suicide or just leaving. The memory of the person is painful and you feel it's your fault. Hence "Dear agony, just let go of me, I'm so sorry" |

For me it is the memory of someone that you love who left. An internal struggle to forget someone that you need and move on, but you can't. The memory causes you to turn in on yourself and close off the world hence the lines - "I have nothing left" and "Swallow me under and pull me apart" Also it points you would do anything for this person-"Take my hand, drag me down. If you fall then I will too!" The last line is like an exceptance that to only way to forget is to forgive the hurt they unintentionally caused you by leaving-"I forgive, forget you, the end" That how I see it. |
