Basically, the song talks about being finally realized. When you finally get what you were looking for, or finally be who you want to. It ends with decisiveness of the truth, and being beyond what people say: “I look into the moment like I’m standing at the edge But no ones gonna turn me around Just one more step, I could let go” These verses make everything clear. Just like you were at the edge, at the finish line, at the end, and no one else can make you back. You’ve got it, you’ve done it. You’ve finally finished another step. “Oh and in the middle, I hear the voices And they’re calling for me now But nothing’s gonna wake me now Cause I’m a slave to the sad heaven.” In the meantime people tell you that you’re not able, but you’re not hearing them, cause you are a slave to your own army. You are looking for something that they consider a “sad heaven”, but it’s exactly what you want. “And they’re calling, Don’t stop, no, I’ll never give up And I’ll never look up, just hold your head up And if it gets rough, it’s time to get rough.” (2x) Again. You don’t have to stop just because people is calling you, and if it gets rough, you got to get rough too. -> But now falling, falling, falling. <- ” This verse means falling into desires, like freeing up your mind, going deep into your wishes. “I look up and down, And I can feel the eyes, they’re watching us so closely oh I’m trying not to make a sound Cause I’ll be found out some high oh” “They’re watching us so closely”. It means that everybody is waiting for your failure. “I’m trying not to make a sound, cause I’ll be found out some high”. It means being patient and careful, cause one day they will see that you were right. “Step into the fire feeling higher than the truth (I’m falling) I can feel the heat but I’m not burning (but now I’m falling)” It means that you are inside of a situation that should let you down, but you already know the truth. So you go beyond the fake truth and keep falling into your dreams. “Feeling desire, feel the tired … (I’m falling) Feels like I’m falling, yeah I can hear them calling” The more they tell you to give up, more you realize that you’re right. “(I’m falling) Feels like I’m falling, yeah I can hear them calling (now I’m falling)”… “never look up, never give up never look up, never give up never look up, never give up I’ll never give up I’ll never give up” |
