They were outlaws, robbers, and criminals who traveled the Central United States with their gang during the Great Depression. This song expresses a deeper meaning of love. After they committed crimes, it was known that they would have "wild, passionate sex". Essentially, they would do anything for each other, and their love was so strong, even in their final moments. Not even death could separate them. |
