Hey guys ♥ A beautiful song,full of emotions :) My view on the lyrics: It's about a relationship which gets so cold and one of the partners distances from the other. The other partner finds the situation unbearable and still has deep feelings about her. Give me love like her, 'Cause lately I've been waking up alone, Paint splattered teardrops on my shirt, Told you I'd let them go, And that I'll fight my corner, Maybe tonight I'll call ya, After my blood turns into alcohol, No, I just wanna hold ya. - He tells her that she changed. "Give me love like her" - by "her" he means the person she was when they fell in love. He convinces that he's lonely and that he miserably wants and needs her loving and care. Give a little time to me or burn this out, We'll play hide and seek to turn this around, All I want is the taste that your lips allow - He asks her to give him more attention. This is probably the saddest song I've ever heard. Kurt Cobain wrote this about his life. He talks about living under a nearby bridge, which he claimed happened when he got kicked out of the house for dropping out of high school and refusing to get a job. He expresses his feelings and emotions by saying "something in the way" - he thought everything was in the way every time he tried to feel better. The lyrics to this song were spray painted by Cobain on the wall of the bridge that he claimed to have lived under when he left his home. It was later painted over in a clean up of the city. When recording this song, Kurt Cobain whispered his vocals so quietly that producer Butch Vig had to turn his recording levels all the way up. |

Beautiful,motivational song. It's about struggling for somebody's love and care. Fighting the obstacles which distance you from the person you desire,preparing for the worse and expecting the best. The other,betrayed lover is disappointed and wonders how could it all the love go wrong. Funny how the heart can be deceiving More than just a couple times Why do we fall in love so easy Even when it's not right - The wounded partner is still questioning should he/she move on or stay and fight for their love. He/she thinks that the relationship is a mistake and that his/her heart is deluding just like the other partner did. Ever worry that it might be ruined And does it make you wanna cry When your out there doing what your doing Are you just getting by Tell me are you just getting by, by, by - Realizing that his thoughts are just making in harder, he/she forgives the partner but still is afraid that the relationship can be over and ruined at any time. This song is dedicated to a girl who is a stripper/prostitute and is often judged by people not knowing she had an awful life and is doing what she's doing because she has to. She was sexually and mentally abused in her childhood and nobody was there for her to teach her the right values in life and how to love. She grows up in a beautiful woman with a lack of respect and lets people underestimate her. But nobody was there to tell her that she needs to credit her self more and that she deserves more,so Lil Wayne does that in this song. Beautiful,gave me goosebumps. |

It's about people mistaking real feelings, we often mix passion with love, and think that something can be better than love. Main character is searching for love but every new meeting gives him only merely interest not more. "Every second is a lifetime, And every minute more brings you closer to god, And you see nothing but the red lights, You let your body burn like never before" - The first two lines above are clear; time goes by much faster than we think. We often use it unconcerned and nonchalant,not seeing the real things that matter in love,but the "red lights"(drugs,party,one night stand sex). "Turn away, turn away, close your eyes, you can runaway" - You always can concentrate on making your living better,not destroying your soul and body with the "red lights" . You can always run away from the wrong,but you can't always see it and realize it. "Does it feel better than love?" - In this moment,the character realizes that he missed some important things in love and he's questioning himself was it all worth it for the "red lights". Such a beautiful,touching song to me. |

In my opinion,this song is mainly about disappointment in love and drugs/sex addiction as it's result. First,he says to a stripper/prostitute that he broke up with his love,and that he "doesn't love her anymore" adding "let me see that ass" right after it so it means he's ready to party just to forget about his pain,he's done with love and now he only "cares" about sex. He tells her to bring her "love" just to heal his pain,to forget about the shame,the mistakes made in his relationship. Than he says that he still has love in his heart,but he'll rather be addicted to heroine than to somebody's love and care. "I got my scars right here" - the scars of his past relationships and the scars on his hands from heroine. "So let me motherf*cking love you" may refer to that he badly wants to give up of serious relationship,and he wants to stop caring about it,putting his thoughts away by "being loved" by drugs and sex. "Listen ma I'll give you all I got Get me off of this I need confidence in myself yeah yeah yeah oh yeah oh Listen ma I'll give you all of me Give me all of it I need all of it to myself" - He says (to the prostitute/stripper) that he would give her money,fame and cash just for getting his confidence back by being with another girl and not thinking about his broken relationship after which he lost his self respect and confidence. "Take you down another level And get you dancing with the devil Take a shot of this But I'm warning you I'm on that shit that you can't smell baby So put down your perfume" - He tells her that he's on heroine (the shit that you can't smell - you can't smell heroine),and he offers her some (Get you dancing with the devil,take a shot of this) It's a very sad but still a beautiful song :) |
