Its about the music industry in whole. How they take fresh meat that shows talent, control them and make every person generic pretty much, then the "You hear him whisper a prayer for the flames" make me think of a different divine power they may use to get fame? Then "A mirror held down to your own behavior" She's telling that people are judging her on everything she says and does so she is leaving. It's actually quite a moving song. Makes you really wonder about some artists. |
