It's changed from musical masterpieces like Maiden, Led Zepplin and Def Lepard to the modern day sickos (that most teen girls like and love to listen to) like Kesha, Rianah and Katy Perry. I'm actually going to go Weird Al their songs, and still listen to classic 80's rock. |

This song is about a soldier in Vietnam who is suffering post-traumatic stress disorder, according to his memoir. He feels sad and mad that he had to kill people on innocent ground. Vietnam was a war that really wasn't our problem, but because it had to do with communism and got involved, and we killed more people than we helped! Napalm, a fiery explosive, was used. It killed so many innocent people compared to the Vietcong it killed. Agent Orange, a plant poisoning system to wipe out the jungle, showing the NVA/Vietcong where they were. Truth be told, its been a sad killer, not a savior. It's caused birth defects, cancer and poisoning. If you look at pictures of agent orange birth defects, its a sad thing, but it may also creep you out if you're sensative to people who look different. |

I believe this song is about a pharaoh who is about to die and is incredibly scared. He died in the last verse, with the "shell of a man who got preserved for a thousand ages", meaning he died and was embalmed, or as its better known, mummified. The signs are also obvious if you are good at Egyptology, the eyes of Horus were often an emblem bestowed upon a pharaoh's burial, and Horus was the god of the sky, but also it was said that the pharaoh himself was indeed Horus. It could be himself gazing at his future death. It also mentions Osiris, the god of the dead (its not Anubis, because Anubis was an embalming god, and you'll know if you read the legend of Isis and Osiris). |

I believe the song meaning is about the 101st Screaming Eagles division paratroops and the Battle of the Bulge, because its referring to the blizzard, enemy lines in snow, and a lot of winter references. It also had machine gun and bomb whistles, because the German defences put up a fight at the bulge, but then again, like anything from Normandy paratroops to the paratroopers in Vietnam, really that just happens, you know. |
