| Skylar Grey – Final Warning Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I think the singer is in a chaotic relationship where her boyfriend who beats her... (You keep throwing punches but you won't win this fight, You're just f**king yourself when you don't read the signs. I'm going to the kitchen, coming back with a knife, 'Cause I've had enough this time! ) ...cheats on her... (I hope she was worth it) and she's finally had enough and is going to start standing up for herself because he has gone too far (You keep throwing punches but you wont win this fight) (This is your final warning just remember what I said) And at this point she is ready to defend herself (Someone's gonna get hurt and its not gonna be me) In the track you can hear a couple fighting and the man getting aggressive, breaking of glass, then a gun shot. The one line where she says "how does the rope feel around your neck" is not literal, but instead I think she is comparing his situation to a person with a noose around their neck, where if they make one wrong move it could all be over. |

| Fall Out Boy – Just One Yesterday Lyrics | 12 years ago |

My take on this song is that this guy and girl were in a relationship, but he was purely just using her. He ended up hurting her really bad, and she now wants to get back at him by giving him a taste of his own medicine. She wants to see him go through everything he put her through. I think most of the song is from the girl's point of view. "I thought of angels Choking on their halos Get them drunk on rose water See how dirty I can get them Pulling out their fragile teeth And clip their tiny wings" -----this is how the guy has approached all his relationships (the angels are the women he's been with) "I want to teach you a lesson in the worst kind of way ------she wants to break his heart by making him fall for her, then doing to him what he did to her...teaching him a lesson by putting him through it himself Still I’d trade all my tomorrows for just one yesterday ------she is still hurting and wishes things could've worked between them (I know I’m bad news) For just one yesterday" ------she knows what she's doing isn't good "Letting people down is my thing baby Find yourself a new gig This town ain’t big enough for two of us" ------the guy speaking, saying he knows what she's trying to do and that they can't both play this game " I don’t have the right name Or the right looks But I have twice the heart" -------I believe this is from the girl's point of view, she is saying she knows she doesn't fit the part and isn't like the other girls that would try to break a guys heart, but she has so much reason behind her intentions that she's going to succeed one way or another "If I spilled my guts The world would never look at you the same way And I’m here to give you all of my love So I can watch your face as I take it all away" -------she knows he's treated her like crap and she isn't going to let him get off the hook this time.... so much meaning to this song, it's my favorite right now |

| The All-American Rejects – Another Heart Calls Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| There's a young couple, prbably eachother's first love, that is in a deep and intimate relationship. They've been with eachother for awhile and have grown to really rely on eachther and love one another. As they are getting older, the romantic feelings are starting to fade and it is more just attachment. The guy wants to go out into the world and figure out his life, and breaks up with her. "as much as I need you, you want to leave it all" .. The girl tries stopping him since she loves him and really needs him, and the guy is overcome with pressure. He cares about her, but he needs to do this to figure out what it is he wants in life, and that means growing into his own person : "what can I do? say it"s true, or everything that matters breaks in two".. "I'll never ask for anyone but you" is the most repeated line during the song, and I think by this he means when he is off by himself out in the world figuring out what it is he wants, when he''s praying at night she's going to be the only one on his heart, the only one he is going to be yearning for | |

| Ed Sheeran – The A Team Lyrics | 12 years ago |

The song is about a girl that got a drug addiction and it completlely took over her, leaving her broke and having to "sell love to another man" just to get money to live. She is heavily addicted and can't get out of it. I believe the line "it's too cold for angels to fly" is saying that she's so far gone from all the drug use and loss of her sense of self-worth that she can't "fly" anymore. In other words, her true beauty inside and her own unique personality can't be free to show off to the world anymore. |

I think it's about a bad relationship. He gives his all, but the girlfriend doesn't give her all. I get the impression she has a acohol/sex/drug addiction: "I can't count how many days you weren't here" and "You're afraid the mistakes that you made, Dug your grave, but baby That's the price you pay." She really doesnt treat him the way she should, and her problems end up causing him pain: "I been trying to relate to, All the things that make you, Act the crazy ways you do , but that will take patience and headaches, To make sense, Some the things you put me through" He has a really hard time trying to actually be okay again and all the memories with her just make him want her back: "All the pictures and the windows on the wall, Are closing in on me, I thought that you're suppose to learn from, What went wrong in history." But at the same time he realizes that he isnt what she needs: "And now I've found You'll never get enough from me, So, baby, I'm a set you free,Yeah, I'm a set you free " and "I bet you remember the day you were better, As soon as we severed, And you were free" It's basically a case of "if you love something enough you will set it free" |

| Michael Jackson – Smooth Criminal Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
I think the song is about a girl being played. "He came into her apartment" means she let him into her heart and trusted him. "He left the bloodstains on the carpet" -- he didnt try to fix anything after he broke her heart. "She ran underneath the table He could see she was unable So she ran into the bedroom" -- she wasnt sure about him at first but decided to give him a chance. "Are you ok, Annie? You've been hit by You've been hit by A smooth criminal" ----- The guy was a player, and the girl is left with a broken heart and has to find a way to clean up the mess on her own. "So they came into the outway It was Sunday - what a black day Mouth to mouth Resuscitation Sounding heartbeats - intimidation" ------ The day after the intimate encounter, the girl feels like shit because she realizes he didnt care. Her heart is shattered. Just the thought of getting close to anyone again is too much for her. She gave her heart away and ended up just being used. |

First of all, LOVE THIS SONG! My take on this is that is is a young couple that are deeply in love. They are getting intimate, and they keep saying "I'll be fine, you'll be fine" to try to calm themselves since they know that there will be consequences and things might not always go smooth for them... Great song, captures emotion very well! |

| Metro Station – Now That We're Done Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| The boy was playing a girl (whom happened to be a friend). She knew that he was only leading her on, but she had strong feelings for him so she went along with things anyway. The boy ended things, causing her a lot of pain but she still tries to back together with him. After awhile, she moves on, and the guy feels like crap. He sees what he did was wrong and that he shouldn't have hurt her. He is also jealous when he sees her with her new love interest.... Figures :) | |
| Christina Grimmie – Liar Liar Lyrics | 12 years ago |
|
This song says it all for me... The girl cares so much about this guy, and he goes and lets her down. She has a hard time dealing with it because she loved him so much, but she finds a way to be strong. Just as she is starting to heal, the guy tries to come back to her. She says "liar liar, dont cry on my shoulder", meaning he didn't pull through like he said he would and he hurt her, and now she isn't going to let him back into her heart just because he wants to come back. She thought he was different ("thought you were someone"), but he was just another dumb boy ("you played with fire, and smiled when you told her") |
