This song is about cheat. He obviously trusted someone and she cheated on him. Once you lose your trust it's hard to get the trust back. (You lost your trust/No don't lose your trust.) You start to put so many walls between you and other people that you can hardly communicate with them let alone being friends with them.(In a bullet proof vest with the windows all closed/In a telescope lens when all you want is friends) |

I think it's about forgetting someone and move on. 'Cause it's neither the end nor the beginning. No matter how much you try to let go and move on he comes into your mind. You sit in a room and try to forget but it's useless. A relationship starts with hopes and promises. Sometimes you know it won't last long but just because you wish it wouldn't be that way you make a beginning anyway. And when you break up you think about the things you did and maybe shouldn't.
