| This song is talking about the Law in the Bible. The Apostle Paul says that the rules of God exist so that a person's will look that much more sinful with the law as their guide. The Law is from God, therefore it is of the light. Sin is not a part of God's character, therefore, it is a shadow because it does not reflect on God because God is not sinful at all. God is disappointed because humans have failed. This is the reason he has no choice but to punish us. He is so holy that our sins look that bad. | |
