| Sick Puppies – Odd One Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song always reminds me of myself and my ex, and good friend, (who introduced me to this band.) The "odd one" who always lives life in her head, and how he always ignores what he's feeling. | |

| THAT MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE! And when you watch the music video for all the same, even though it's another girl in the video when they are playing and singing I kept wondering why she was looking at him with googly-type eyes and in the end when she smashes her guitar. | |

I don't think this is about a troubled relationship, either. The way I've interpreted this song is it's about the start of something new, a new relationship yes. However, badutahboy, I agree with you to an extent. This is a girl he can connect with, that he cares about. When he's with her he's happy, and he's "fellin' sublime" but he's not used to being in a real relationship but he's willing to give her a chance he just doesn't know how to let himself get in the way of this. Even though he didn't trust himself "like sugar and cyanide, these walls are gonna collide" he still is willing to give himself to her. But he needs her to "go slow, let me hide somewhere I know." And maybe, after the seed grows they can be in a good relationship. Its just about him overcoming his fear of a real relationship. When my ex boyfriend first listened to this song was before we were dating, and this was the song that helped push him into actually giving me a chance. It became "our song" because this explains so much about him. He didn't want to give me a chance, because he was afraid of a relationship (and I honestly believe he still is) but I was the girl to put myself out there and give myself to him, making it his decision. It's truely a great song, and I wish I could listen to it more often. |

Essentially, weebles wobble but they don't fall down. To me, this is a peaceful song to listen to when i'm feeling down. We all hit rock bottom, and take it our own ways. "What did you do? When life came crashing down on you." Even though he may be speaking to someone, it's honestly something we've all gone to. Life sinks in eventually, but the fact is we're not alone. When it happens we just have to live day to day, and find someone to lean on, "and meet me in the place that we always were." This is simply my impression, this is how I feel when I listen to this song. However, re reading this lyrics it is most likely wrong. This is probably a personal moment for grieves and someone he knows, and most likely loves. p.s. Where are all the comments?? Why has NOONE posted on most of these? Disappointing, it's great music. |

I'll post, fellow realrhymesayer fan. (: The way I see it, is he's reflecting on a good childhood. Overcome with nostalgia, he comes to realize that when he was young it was easy to just roll along with the breeze but now that he's grown everything is happening so fast. It's the way we all feel when we grow up, an hour is no longer eternity the way it was when we were little, it feels like just a blink of an eye. He's going through his life, reminiscing about everything thats happened. Starting in a happy childhood, then moving to colorado, then doing dumb shit with his friends and loving every second of it. Then he hits addiction, following his sister, and brought himself out it fixing all his problems he would've never expected when he was young. He moves to seattle and becomes who we know now, an amazing artist. He fell in love with a girl after he moves away (or before I can't tell) and when he comes back he realizes she was sleeping around and was never really his. The point of the song, however, is to stop and smell the roses, "You need to slow down every once in a while." To me, this song is transparent, going through life we eventually forget to slow down and just enjoy ourselves and every once in a while it's needed because everything will catch up one way or another. |

| I agree, and (even though i already posted my interpretation,) I don't think it's quite rejection, I think it's because he's been hurt before and she loves him more than he will ever love her, but he does love her and he does care, he just doesn't want to hurt her. so he never should've showed her who he is, the good parts. | |

Maybe I think it's this because of my ex, but the way i've interpreted it is a girl fell in love with him. However, he isn't the guy to give her happiness, so he's trying to push her away because "head dug into my palms thinking she don’t honestly want this" he's doesn't believe that she can be in love with him because he knows who he is and he knows he can tear her apart. However, he does care about her, but he doesn't want to hurt her. "Please let it go! This'll kill you!" In the chorus, she realized she was in love with him "She started looking at me like she caught a glimpse of something." However, he will never be able to love her the way he should because of his own problems "This is not a love song, I'm working out my problems." He regrets showing her his better side (This I can relate to many different people who fear hurting the girl.) "I'm not your paradise girl, I should've never even showed you." He never wanted to hurt her, but "I can't make this right now," he couldn't love her back in the same way. Atleast, thats what I got from it. |

| Grieves – Bloody Poetry Lyrics | 12 years ago |

I think it's his relationship with poetry. He is a poet, just listen to any of his music and anyone can tell. He is a very talented poet, too. But this is how he feels about his poetry. "Make it beautiful and make it look like love Make it hang from the heavens Make it break my trust Make it real, make it dangerous Make it out of the rust and make it passionate and impossible to touch." The way he can twist words can be beautiful, it can be love. It can break his trust because he puts himself into his words, it can come from nothing (rust) it can be passionate and it is impossible to touch (considering words can touch us more than we can touch them) You can't touch poetry. Literally, it's impossible. And just looking at the chorus (which is incomplete) can explain "You're all I've ever known, sewn to my sleeve, You've always got me runnin home Hand full of roses You're my blood and brittle bones, my soul and open throne You're all I've known" (Which is the correct lyrics. I'm the nerd that reads the lyric books.) But he expresses himself through his poetry, the way any artist expresses themselves through their art. It's all he's known, and his poetry is quite literaly his blood and brittle bones, and his soul, and his open throne because it makes him king-like (atleast I consider him one.) He's most likely a boy that wears (or wore) his heart on his sleeve (from other songs) and his heart is his poetry and it's easy to tell the kind of person he his through his lyrics because he puts himself into them. "I guess it started when the lights went out, And everybody started running around in circcles trying to figure out, I could feel it, wedged in y ribs, it felt freezing, as my cold air blew out, and danced through the evening, Paranormal, slowly being called to the gleam." He discovered his talent (poetry) when everything fell to shit (when the lights went out and everybody starting running around in circles.) He was able to discover himself through his poetry. However, through his poetry he puts himself into it, making it easier to desipher who he is and, thus, easier to hurt him. Just like slug says in one of his songs that he can never be friends with a fan because they know far too much about him. It's bloody because he's putting his heart into it, his soul. That is what I've gotten from it. |
