I think this song is about a guy that can't seem to settle. He is going from girlfriend to girlfriend, 'Following your lust, leaving a trail of disaster'. He is completely convinced this is not his fault, but the girls', or women in general and he likes to talk about this and make jokes about it (writing your book of wrongs and delight us like a bachelor). Nevertheless, he goes on starting relationships, 'Try to believe that there's something to stay for' 'but there's always before and after': there will always come an end to that relationship, for the entertainer. That's what they mean to me and I love these lyrics so much.. |
