| I get what you are trying to say, it's just that with songs like these, there is no room for interpretation. When musical artists write a song about true stories and then discuss them publicly, the meaning of the song becomes that and only that. Doug talked about how his heart was absolutely breaking for this little boy because he was literally dying and all he could think about was that he had disappointed his father. So yes, of course, every song is open for interpretation, but Doug's interview has pretty much shot down any other meaning that people have considered. | |

A little fun fact about this song: It is a REAL conversation. The lead singer of SafetySuit was driving down the high way when he noticed a little boy and his father fighting in the car in front of him. Making a mental note, he continued to drive (45-50 mph). Then, the passenger door of the car in front of him opened and the little boy fell out! His dad had pushed him out of a moving car. :( Doug pulled over and held the kid's head up while calling 911, and the whole time they were talking. He was bleeding a lot. "Now, I need you to catch your breath for me. Cause... You're losing it. There's no time left to waste. I promise you- I will NOT leave. But right now I need you to stay with me, no look at me look at me. No one's going to die. It's not your time." Doug says this. Next, the little boy says, "Now I need you to make me a promise that you will tell my dad I'm sorry that I made everything worse." The little boy was only concerned that he had made his dad mad... Then Doug says "No. I won't say that. You can tell him yourself when you see him soon, cause he's coming. You just have to hold on. Don't let go." Then, when the ambulances get there, he says "I know you might be scared, Do not be afraid. You're saved." Doug says that he will never forget that day. |

| Guys, come on! Why does everything have to be related to sex? I'm pretty sure that this song has nothing to do with sex. SafetySuit isn't that kind of band. They're not obsessed with singing about the same things as everyone else. | |

OKAY GUYS. No. Not to be mean, but there is no possible way that this is related to cheating. He's saying that what if something he does or says makes her upset? Think about it like this: Someone at school, or work, or wherever, says something to you. You laugh it off at the time... No biggie, right? But then later you start to think about it and it makes you upset. I really love this band. Every single one of their songs has a different meaning to it.. One that needs to be evaluated upon by more than one person, more than one opinion. It's like a mystery just waiting to be discovered by the right person. This is my favorite band and I love every single one of their songs. Hopefully I can see them perform one day:) |

True... But also, not true. Think about it like this: He loves her for who she is. So he thinks she is beautiful. I don't believe that "Annie" is ugly. But maybe, to others, she's not as beautiful as the movie stars and the magazine covers. But he still thinks she is beautiful... Like, there's not a doubt in his mind that says she is ugly. But others think that she is... As for the "you don't need to find a way to show me" I think that means that she doesn't need to wear makeup and tight clothes around him... Because, like mentioned before, he thinks she is beautiful even if others might not. |

| I never thought of it that way... But that is a great interpretation of it. It's something that would be worth looking deeper into... All of SafetSuit's songs have a different meaning than what might be right in front of us. I like this thought process. | |
