this is my interpretation of a song that means a lot to me. this is coming from someone who use to be a huge pot head. like everyday all the time. when he says "I know you spent your money to see What you hear on cd" he means that when your a stoner you spend all your money on weed. to me it reminds me of last summer cuz me and my friends would get together and spend all our money on weed and hardly have none left. for what ? becuz weed makes music sound better hence cd. when he says "They say what doesn’t kill the soul will make it harder but you can’t be a stone hearted man" he means that whatever doesnt kill you makes you stronger. he means weed but you cant be under the drug all the time. "This isn’t just a waste of time, addictions made me smarter but u can’t be high all the time" he means that when your high your living in a different world with elevated senses. ppl who get high know that much more about life because when your high music sounds better, your favorite drink taste better, you feel better. he says you cant be high all the time becuz you really cant...eventually it gets to the point your only high for very little becuz your body is just so used to weed or so it feels like it when he says "And do you realize that you apologize, when it’s not your fault, cause were all fucked up." i think hes talking about ppl who dont indulge in the plant and how sometimes it feels like they are the ones saying sorry but its not there fault..becuz being a stoner and all you tend to use ppl(my true friend who doesnt get high would always give my stoner friends rides but they were really just using him to go get weed or go someplace where its nice to get high) or other stoners for more money for more weed all together.
