This song is actually about the band breaking up and how hard it was for Ryan. He said it was a bitter sweet thing. He said this at their reunion tour. Ryan also talked about how hard the success of Ocean Avenue had on the band. They just blew up and they were young at the time and had no idea how to handle all of the success. So the line: "It's hard to see you, we are older now". Now they've grown up. "This is a black and white of you I found I hang you up and then I pull you down I hang you up and then I pull you down"- Old pictures from the band.
