I've been to NOLA twice, both times were absolutely amazing. I have decided that should I ever win the lotto, I'm buying some property there! At any rate, last time I was there (in 2011), I went looking for this corner; it is indeed a real place -- as is the Saturn Bar. Marie-Ondine is probably a fictional name that tied the whole song together; I get the impression the song is about a chauffeur carting this woman's butt around town, and is secretly in love with her. ;-) |
