Some of the lyrics above are incorrect, but from the actual lyrics, I think this song is about the struggle to find happiness. "We'll drive on and on and on and on" is a metaphor to keep going, and the "accident on the freeway of this life" is all of the problems or possibly depression. The chorus explains how you just need to let go of everything, and how you might "fight this all you want" because lets face it, letting go is hard and terrifying, but is also the only way to cure the issues. "Well if you amputate the loneliness, let anesthesia dim the lights" I really love this line. He has said the same thing that he's been saying for the whole song, to let go. As I listen to it more and more, it sounds like he's singing about depression. I've felt what mild depression feels like and it is absolutley excruciating, and this song helped a lot. |

From what it sounds like, the singer is upset that the one he loves is leaving him. The singer is mad at him/her, telling them to get out, I'm not going to make you stay, etc. Through all the anger, he still feels some sort of sympathy for them, knowing that he still loves him/her. "And after all the time that you still owe, you're still a good for nothing I dont know." It sounds like he's referring to all the time that they promised that they would be together, and that he wants to say something mean but he can't bring himself to say it because he still has feelings for the person. "Would you have the guts to say, I dont love you, like I loved you yesterday?" Hes basically saying "Why dont you just tell me the truth, tell me you dont love me anymore" as if the sooner he/she would say it the sooner he can try to move on. "Another dollars just another blow" kind of sounds like he's a drug addict ('blow' being another word for crack") and that hes sort of asking the person hes singing about if the reason why they are leaving him is because of his drug addiction, and hes being hard on himself for that. This is an AMAZING song and I'm completley in love with it. |

To me it sounds like hes speaking to someone who has been through the same pain as him, which has drove them both to drug abuse. "We walked around you city lights" seems like "We walked around in your issues." And his issues have ended up determining who he is as a person. |
