I'm pretty sure it's "verily", not "barely". Not even Colin would pronounce "barely" like that.
And to me, it sounds more like "line of light" than "line of right", although I've no idea what that might mean. |

| Luke Haines – Russian Futurists Black Out the Sun Lyrics

The Russian Futurist movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_Futurism) first emerged in the early 20th century with the publication of a futurist manifesto, "A Slap in the Face of Public Taste" (http://www.391.org/manifestos/1912futurists_slapintheface.htm). The movement's core group was located in Moscow, but other groups soon formed in St. Petersburg, Kiev, Khakov and Odessa. In 1913, a Russian Futurist opera called "Victory Over the Sun", in which the sun is torn out of the sky and locked inside a concrete box, premiered in Luna Park, St. Petersburg. You can read more about it here: http://www.ce-review.org/99/3/ondisplay3_hunter.html

When wrestler Les Kellett (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Kellett) retired, he opened up a transport cafe in Bradford called The Terminus. Luke Haines has said in an interview (http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/music/features/luke-haines-a-britpop-outsider-grapples-with-life-in-the-ring-6270469.html) that he liked the idea of Kellett becoming a sort of wrestling guru: "I imagined people like Rollerball Rocco coming to seek knowledge over this awful food in this awful setting." |

In July 2010, a man named Raoul Moat shot three people and escaped into the countryside (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2010_Northumbria_Police_manhunt). A nation-wide manhunt ensued, culminating in a stand-off between Moat and the police on the north bank of the River Coquet. Cue Paul "Gazza" Gascoigne, former England footballer, who arrived on the scene and announced his intention to counsel "Moaty" with the help of a can of lager, some chicken, a dressing-gown and a fishing rod (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/7882762/Raoul-Moat-Gazza-arrives-in-Rothbury-to-offer-his-support.html). Truly bizarre. |
