My comment doesn't explain the meaning of this song, just what it means to me. If I've misheard or misinterpreted it, please forgive me. It's just my comment. Written by the greatest living songwriter (IMHO), this beautiful song perfectly describes parts of my life. Thanks, E, for helping me to turn my life around and make it beautiful. No exaggeration. You were a big part of saving me. Home to Home I spent the days Never wanted anywhere I always bit the hand that beat me And they wrote me off It was easy not to care It doesn't matter how much they beat and abuse us in our sarcastically named "care homes", some survive it and make the turnaround. I pray for their prey. The first step is out the door and onto the street. I still don't have the six bucks in my pocket, but I'll get there with E's help. |
